Meghan Markle and Beyoncé officially met last Sunday at the premiere of The Lion King.
The premiere was held in Leicester Square in London. Prince Harry and Meghan are said to have been among the last to arrive. Beyoncé and Jay Z also arrived late after the Sussex royals. They were brought to the edge of the carpet, where the meeting happened inside of the theatre.
Meghan gave Beyoncé and Jay Z a hug and had a chat with the couple for a while. A video emerged online of Beyoncé and Meghan talking, and Beyoncé is heard telling Meghan how beautiful her baby is.
Harry later joined them, giving Beyoncé a double kiss and greeting Jay Z with enthusiasm. Jay Z offered some parenting advice to the royals, he said to them that they should always find time for themselves. Many sources have confirmed that this is the first time Meghan has walked the red carpet since she became a royal.
Beyoncé and Jay Z had earlier paid tribute to Meghan’s portrait as the Queen while they accepted their award at the Brit Awards 2019. Martin, Meghan’s artist during his interview with CBS said that he had sent her a screen shot of the tribute photo and Meghan Markle was speechless and responded with only a big eye emoji.
